The Final Stop – Short Film (2023)

The Final Stop – Trailer (2023) – Mediculus Pictures

Killing someone and being punished for it is the way it should always work, but barely ever does. Some people could be wronged by misadventure in the mere search for someone to blame.

Emily’s father left when she was only 4. It made her vulnerable to men. After a series of failed relationships, she found herself emotionally broken and physically lost in the middle of a lonely and scary road. Some unfortunate aberration of mind forced Emily to stop in an attempt to help a shy and seemingly insecure-looking man. Further events speedily developed from foolish to deadly.

is a beautifully written, bold, colorful, and exuberant movie. The story follows a young woman named Emily, who, from the outset, appears to have it all: a promising career as a writer, a loving husband, and a beautiful child. Careful not to judge too soon, though, because what goes on inside of her mind is a different story.

Through Emily’s mind game, we meet a stranger, whom she labels “a murderer”. We also learn that she is struggling to balance her own rage by means of blaming the outside world and men in particular for what was wrong in her life.

The outcome of this affair is gruesomely staggering and completely unexpected.

Throughout the movie, you’ll begin to find bits of yourself within the characters portrayed. You realize that we’re all going through things – whether it’s dealing with insecurities or anxiety, or the tendency to judge others without substantial proof.
